Before this, The Heavenly Father have created The Lights in the firmaments to devide the Day from the Night and ordained them to be for signs, for seasons, for days and for years; "Genesis 1:14.
After the Apostolic Days, the spread of the Gospel of Yehshua Ha'mashiech tended to go side by side (when not mixed-up) with Roman Civilization. With the emphasis on Roman Oriented Evangelism, some important truths of the word of Yahweh particularly The Festivals and Appointed Times became eclipsed or supplanted by aspects of the contending Roman Versions, thoughts and cultures.
The Festivals commanded by Yahweh The Creator of The Universe (Exodus 23:14; Deutronomy 16:16-17) are timed based on the Lunar Calender. Today people are apt to think that the Calender and the Commands of Yahweh including those on Festivals are directed only to Israel. But those commands are to all Mankind by Yahweh the creator of ALL. Only that someone has to receive them for others; of which Israel did. Hence "Salvation is of the jews---John 4:22". But, WHO ARE THE ISRAELITES, TO WHOM PARTAINETH THE ADOPTION AND THE GLORY AND THE COVENANTS AND THE GIVING OF THE LAW AND THE SERVICE OF YAHWEH AND THE PROMISES? The answer is very simple; "FOR HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; AND CIRCUMCISION IS THAT OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT AND NOT IN THE FLESH; WHOSE PRAISE IS NOT OF MEN BUT OF YAHWEH. Therefore True Israelites are The True Believers (Romans 2:29; 11:26). True Believers are therefore THE DOERS AND NOT THE HEARERS OF THE LAW---romans 2:13.

NOTE:- THE LUNAR MONTH KNOWN AS 2ND ADAR IS THE 13TH LUNAR MONTH, IT OCCURS SEVEN TIMES IN EVERY NINTHEEN YEARS.
NEW MOONS: The first day of every new moon is to be solemnised (Numbers 28:11-15). The celebration of at the New Moons symbolises the renewal of our relationship with YAHWEH. In doing so, we receive blessings of peace, joy and new life and the Grace to continue in keeping with His Laws, Statutes, Precepts and Ordinances being THE TERMS OF THAT IRREVOCABLE COVENANT.
PASSOVER/UNLEAVENED BREAD: The feast of Passover takes place on the 14th day of the first month know as NISSAN OR ABIB. Its procedure and significance are given in the book of (Leviticus 23:4-8, Deutronomy 16:1-8 etc). Today this festival continues as an Annual Memorial of the Deliverance of Israel from Egypt as well as a Re-enactment of the manifestation of Yehshua (CHRIST) our passover Lamb, for our deliverance from bondage of sin.the principal symbols of Passover/Unleavened Bread are The Paschal Lamb (representing YEHSHUA OUR PASSOVER LAMB WHO WAS SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.Revelation 13:8 for the salvation of Mankind); The Unleavened Bread which represents THE BODY OF YEHSHUA HA'MASHIACH (CHRIST THE MASSIAH) which had no sin, was spotless, without blemish and it also points to the facts that Believers as the Body of Yehshua are expected to exhibit purity of heart and be like Yehshua in behaviour; and the wine served at Yehshua's memorial an integral part of the event which signifies The Blood Of Yehshua which was shed for the remission of sins. The significant is the mystery of suffering entailed in the process of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
PENTECOST OR SHAVOU'T: Leveticus 23:15; Deutronomy 16:9; It takes place on th 50th day from the day THE SHEAF WAVE OFFERING WAS MADE. It is The Feast Of First Fruits. The procedure of the pentecost are recorded in the book of Leveticus 23:15-22; Numbers 28:26-31; Exodus 23:19; Deutronomy 16:9-12. It is a celebration of thanksgiving to the Almighty Yahweh for blessing the works of our hand and also for keeping us alive to harvest our first fruits. So, Pentecost is tied with aspirations to our two levels of life namely; PHYSICAL LIFE AND SPIRITUAL LIFE. To authenticate this truth, The Hashem on this day fullfilled His promise of sending to the desciples the Comforter/ RUACH HA'CHODESH, THE HOLY SPIRIT(ACTS 2). In the church of God, each year, we bear this background in mind for a full advantage as we celebrate pentecost.as the Two Loaves of Bread symbolises the reconciliation of the Jews and Gentiles in The New Church, The partition wall between them having been broken by HA'MASHIECH.
DAY OF TRUMPETS: Feast of Trumpets is the feast of Blowing of Trumpets. It is The Feast that marks the beginning of the 7th Lunar month--Leveticus 23:23_25. It reminds Believers that on the last day, the Heavenly Trumpets shall be blown by the the command of The Heavenly Father through Yehshua to His Holy Angels and it shall be blown throughout all the Earth and All Mankind shall hear it Zehariah 9:14. When it is done, Ha'mashiech's intervention in the affairs of the world will be the next great event in the plan of redemption (MATHEW 24:31, 1CORITHIANS 15:52 AND 1THESLONICANS 4:16.
DAY OF ATONEMENT(YOM KIPPUR): It is the day made solemn by the command of Yahweh that all mankind must humble themselves before Him on account of their individual sins. It takes place on the 10th day of the 7th month known as (ETHANIM OR TISHRI). The procedure for the FASTING AND WORSHIP is contained in the book of Leveticus 23:26-32. As the command for Atonement was valid with our Partriachs in the Ancient times so, also it is with us today. Yehshua's Atonement for our sins by the shading of His Blood was a physical manifestation on earth of a spiritual truth as old as the foundation of the earth-(Revelation 13:8).
Obedience to Yahweh's command concerning Atonement, therefore is faith in this truth as well as memorial of Yehshua's manifestation of this Atonement on Calvary (Hebrew 13:11-12) explains further the mystery ; that as the Massiah had to suffer "outside the gate" not in the sanctuary, so that victim of sacrifice in the memorial be burnt outside the sanctuary.
FEAST OF TABERNACLES(SUKKOT): The feast of Tabernacle commences on the 15th Day of the 7th month known as ETHANIM OR TISHRI and it is celebrated for Eight Days. The instructions about it as well as its procedures and mysteries are to be found in Leveticus 23:33-44, Numbers 29:12-38, Deutronomy 16:13-15, Zechariah 14:16, John 7:2 etc. It is a memorial of the dwelling in Booths by the Israelites, the people of Yahweh in the wilderness on their way from Egypt to the promised Land.
For us, Tabernacle is a solomnization of the annual in-gathering of the products of our labours--crops, animals etc(psalm 65:9, psalm 104:14-15. It falls between the Roman months of September and October, the period of Harvesting. The spiritual significance is even greater. Tabernacles is apointer to or warning for the second comming of the Messiah to Harvest all Mankind as it were croped on the face of the earth as WHEATS AND TARES as elucidated in Mathew 13:38-43. As we commemorate the dwelling in Booths by the Israelites, we bear in mind that as believers, we are living in a transitory world (BOOTHS) and we shall leave someday. In like manner, our Body constitutes a Booth in which our spirit being our true identity lives. At death, The Body (Booth) will be shed and the spirit will return to His maker. The feast is therefore significant in that it fore-warns us about the temporary nature of our earthly existence, and the need to make good use of the little time we have to live in it, in accordance with the will of our Heavenly Father. So, that we may be counted worthy to be Harvested into the Heavenly barn at the end.
MAY THE ALMIGHTY YAHWEH, THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE THROUGH YEHSHUA HA'MASHIECH GRANT US THE GRACE TO CONTINUE IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS TORAH. AMEN.
